Plus Therapeutics Advances Commercial Launch of CNSide Diagnostics and Expands Leadership to Accelerate Growth

by | Oct 21, 2025 | News

Plus Therapeutics (NASDAQ: PSTV) announced continued operational execution and commercial progress in the launch of its wholly owned subsidiary, CNSide Diagnostics, and its Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Tumor Cell Enumeration laboratory-developed test (LDT).

Recent milestones include expansion of CNSide’s manufacturing footprint, advances in commercial readiness, and the appointment of key leaders to propel the diagnostic business forward.

Strengthening Leadership for Next-Phase Growth

To guide commercialization strategy, Russ Havranek has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Commercial and Corporate Strategy, where he will oversee market expansion and strategic partnerships supporting both Plus Therapeutics’ therapeutic and diagnostic portfolios.

In addition, Daniel Ortega has been promoted to Vice President, Development and Technical Operations, leading laboratory operations, quality systems, and diagnostic development efforts to enhance CNSide’s technical capabilities.

These leadership advancements align with the company’s mission to integrate targeted radiotherapeutics and precision diagnostics—bringing innovation and clarity to the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) cancers, including leptomeningeal metastases (LM).

A Step Toward Precision in CNS Oncology

CNSide’s CSF Tumor Cell Enumeration LDT provides physicians with a more precise method to detect and monitor tumor cells in the cerebrospinal fluid, supporting improved diagnosis and patient management.
This diagnostic innovation complements Plus Therapeutics’ REYOBIQ™ (rhenium-186 obisbemeda) radiotherapeutic platform, now in the ReSPECT-LM clinical trial, uniting detection and treatment strategies under one vision of precision medicine.
