What to Expect - CNSide CSF TCE Test Ordering
1) Order the Kit - Physician requests and receives CNSide sample collection kit.
2) Sample Collection - 2ml of CSF is collected via lumbar puncture or Ommaya reservoir. Then, placed into the proprietary CEE-Sure® tube to preserve cells and nucleic acids.
3) Shipping and Handling - The sample is shipped to CNSide, a CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited central lab in Houston, Texas, at ambient temperature (stable for 96 hours).
4) Processing and Analysis - Upon receipt at the lab, the CSF sample is processed for tumor cell isolation using a cancer-specific antibody cocktail.
5) Data Interpretation - A report is sent to the ordering physician within 3 to 5 business days.
